An Oklahoma news anchor is in the sanitarium after she began to have a stroke while live on air.
Tulsa’s NBC chapter KJRH journalist Julie Chin was reporting on the Artemis I launch around 845a.m., Saturday when she began floundering to read the teleprompter and appeared confused.

An Oklahoma news anchor had the onset of a stroke, causing her to trip over her words and have to interrupt the broadcast on Saturday morning.
Julie Chin, of Tulsa NBC affiliate KJRH, was telling a story about NASA’s canceled Artemis-I launch when she suddenly found herself unable to pronounce the words she was reading from her teleprompter.
Stunned and stuttering, Chin tried to continue with the broadcast, but soon found that she couldn’t pronounce her script out loud.
“I’m sorry, there’s something wrong with me this morning and I apologize to everyone,” she finally said, wandering off the script and tossing the broadcast to the weather team, “let’s just forward it to meteorologist Annie Brown.
Brown took over the broadcast seamlessly, while Chin could be heard trying to apologize off hi-camera.

I’m happy to say that my tests have all come back great. At the moment doctors think I had the onset of a stroke but not a full stroke,” she wrote, “There are still a lot of questions and a lot to follow up on, but the bottom line is I should be fine.
‘Chin explained that she was feeling fine before the broadcast, but her condition deteriorated suddenly and rapidly.
The episode seemed to come out of nowhere. I felt great before our show. However, over the course of several minutes during our newscast, things started to happen.
First, I partially lost sight in one eye. A moment later my hand and arm went numb.’“That’s when I knew I was in big trouble if my mouth didn’t speak the words right in front of me on the teleprompter.
If you were watching Saturday morning, you know how desperately I tried to move the show forward, but the words just wouldn’t come.”

Julie, we love you so much, we love you so much,” Brown said with a laugh as the broadcast cut her off.
“We all have those days,” Brown continued.But it wasn’t just one of those days for Chin, who failed to return to the airwaves after the weather was reported.
Instead, editorial staff called 9-11 and Chin was rushed to the hospital.

Chin took to Facebook to explain that she was in good health and that the doctor thought she had had “the onset of a stroke, but not a full-blown stroke.
